

Conferences on rural agingĬollaborating institutions have joined together to offer a series of Rural Aging Conferences that focus on the unique challenges and needs facing rural older adults and bridge science and practice. Students from several Iowa schools - Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, University of Iowa, and Des Moines Area Community College - share advice and insights about the study of gerontology, rewarding and diverse career options, and job security well into the future. ICAP partners and the Iowa Gerontological Society teamed up to offer this video offering students advice on the study of and careers in gerontology. Click into our Conference page to learn more about our conventions. It is governed by a Board of Directors that are elected by the attendees. Since the early 1980s, risk pooling has shown that it can provide excellent coverage for local governments at an affordable price and can meet the specific needs of their Iowa members.

Spending records show the board has met several times in the Lake. IAAP offers education and networking for activity professionals across the entire state. Ninety of the 99 counties in Iowa now participate in either ICAP, IMWCA, or the Heartland Pool. ICAP provides property and casualty insurance coverage for nearly 800 Iowa public entities, including county and city governments.

The Iowa Consortium of Aging Programs (ICAP) was created to strengthen gerontology training and education within our state to best prepare students to work with aging individuals, families, and communities across Iowa and beyond. Southeast Iowa Response Group has received a 1,000 grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP), the members property and/or casualty coverage. The Iowa Association of Activity Professionals was organized over 25 years ago. school leader update - a monthly journal for iowa educators. The ISU Gerontology Program partners with other aging programs across the state to strengthen our respective educational offerings and pursue collaborative research projects.
